Serenity Prayer:
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.Amen.

If you're anything like me, by the end of the week you've had enough. Enough of rush-hour traffic, enough emails, enough text messages, enough phone calls from people who you don't wish to speak to anyway, enough of your boss, significant other, funky acting cashier at the drive-thru window, ENOUGH!!! You just want to scream sometimes.
Well, here's your chance to have a funeral for all of the annoyances that happened Monday thru Friday. Bury it! Vent! Here's your forum to do just that. If something happened to you during the week, get it out of your system and move into your weekend. But..be careful not to carry it with you into Monday. Monday is a chance for a fresh start to a better week.
It's Friday people. I'm looking forward to the coming of another weekend where I can enjoy the summer heat and relax. My grass needs cutting but it won't get done this weekend. The ozone can't take it! I think I'll catch a matinee on Saturday. There are several movies that have come out in the past month that I'd like to see. Enjoy your weekend everyone!
ReplyDeleteThis week was a great week! I realized I need exercise in my life. I went back to Zumba class and step aerobics after being M.I.A. since April. If felt so great to sweat away some excess pounds. Sunday was also my first experience at a Bikram yoga class. I'm going back tomorrow. Even if I don't become a pro at yoga poses, at minimum I'll detox my body while sitting in a 105 degree room.
ReplyDeleteI also went on a fast from sweets this week. I haven't had a cookie, piece of cake, a candy bar, a scoop of ice cream, not nare nothin' since Sunday. I'm in withdrawal. With discipline I can make it.
How was your week? I'm looking forward to the weekend when I can spend time with my family.
Until then, Ciao!
